Lobby Re-opening questions (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by SteampoweredClock
It really worries me how often I'm asked when indoor seating is gonna be back open in my store while I'm working the door (I work in a cafe store)

40% of customers that come for the mobile pickups don't wear masks and I know the company probably won't make customers wearing masks.

To the stores who have opened their lobbies again, how are the customers behaving? Are they dicks? How many customers are allowed in your store at one time?

My manager won't tell us anything but I know we're reopening on the 1st of June because we're getting shipments of signs and stuff for the lobby and stuff. It's really sad that I have to get all my information from Reddit instead of the company I work for.

My cafe store is expected to re-open on the 1st too and I’m really not looking forward to it. We have two pre opening meetings coming up. I really have no idea what to expect but I don’t think it’s very smart to re open the cafe stores right now. People will think it’s a free pass to not take proper precautions

We’re opening to grab and go on June 1st and I’m still unsure about it as well. I’m in Wisconsin where covid rules are a free for all. Milwaukee is shut down, but this past weekend the tourist town 10 minutes from my store was packed full of people shopping and going about business as usual. These dick heads make it impossible for me to be comfortable opening up to people in the lobby.
