This customer believes she “special” and doesn’t need to pay for certain things! (self.starbucksbaristas)

There is this old lady who comes to my store & gets a venti mocha frappuccino with no frapp roast with 2 espresso shots. Every time she comes through she always says that she doesn’t need to pay for the espresso shots & I feel that it’s total BS! Apparently a former manager who is no longer at my store gave her the shots for free so now she believes she can get the 2 espresso shots for free. I told my coworkers that she should be paying for it because she’s not special & just because one manager who’s no longer here have her the shots for free one time doesn’t mean she gets them free now, cause everyone else has to pay for them so she should as well.

If you’re substituting the shots for frap roast it isn’t supposed to be a charge, just like if someone ordered it decaf. If they were adding shots with the frap roast that’s when you charge. It wouldn’t make sense that decaf shots were free but caffeinated ones aren’t.

You can double check in the beverage resource manual, but that’s what my manager and shifts always told us.

Well thanks for letting me know that, I didn’t know anything about that. It’s just the way she goes about it & her tone like she’s someone special & she shouldn’t have to pay for espresso shots like everyone else does. She’s always rude when she comes by & high maintenance. My first interaction with her was her coming up through the drive thru saying her name like I’m suppose to know who she is when I had just started working there. I appreciate you letting me know & I’ll check with my manager about what you said cause I really want to know for future reference.

You’re not wrong but this woman is over the top high maintenance. Also yea some of them can be but I’ve only met one high maintenance rude partner all the others I’ve met are super nice and super easy. The one lady who was the HM partner came through asking for a nitro and that if the keg was running out then to switch kegs and all this other shit, my co-worker was like SURE WILL DO 😂🤣

omg i feel that we have a regular who comes up to the speaker and says “this is ____ whos at the bar” only certain people can make her drink. she gets a flat white with 2 pumps of white mocha. but the thing is that they literally give her an extra shot for free because she complains all the time. she is NEVER happy with it it either tastes too much like milk or too much like coffee which like??? also she is literally convinced one of our bars is the only one that “makes it right” so she watches to make sure we only ever make it at that one. idk nobody likes serving her but she never goes to any other store.

OMG! We literally have a woman like that also! She will come through at least 3 to 4 times if her drink doesn’t taste the way she believes it should taste & that our 2nd bar is the only bar that it taste “just perfect” on. She doesn’t do the “Hey it’s ______” but she only likes these two guys (because they flirt with her) and another one of my co-workers who is amazing at making drinks (she’s been with SB forever) but if anyone else makes it even though we all make the exact way it doesn’t taste right & she will come through & get one right after the other if it doesn’t taste right. She also likes to do this crap when she gets to the window and hands you cash but doesn’t say she’s going to reload her card & she did that to me when I first met her & I got so pissed off at her I ended up crying because I was soo mad at how rude she was to me when all she had to say was I’m reloading my card. I hate when people make stuff more difficult then it needs to be.
