Masks ON, right? (HELP!!) (self.starbucksbaristas)

So I may have taken some time off because of this Covid-Crap, and I don’t work many hours since I’ve been back, BUT aren’t partners supposed to wear masks at “ALL TIMES” when working (not including breaks or if you need some water obviously)...
BUT Half of my store employees don’t cover their nose, and one refuses to wear Over their mouth period (They actually chose to ring up through the lobby computer while I was on DTR so they could not wear it...)
I told my store manager last shift I worked and he said he’d tell the shift leads, but today it happened again... I loved seeing the customers today, but not sure if it’s worth it when my co-workers don’t seem to care about keeping them or each other safe... thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :)

Goodluck? It’s company wide as an issue and nobody gives a crap. Managers, DMs...nobody in corporate.

Really? That’s depressing if true...
I know the masks suck, believe me, but it’s not only mandatory, but it’s to protect each other too.
It’s a simple way to show that we care for one another and a step to keep everyone healthy too!

It is all of those things and I don’t want to be the Debbie downer but half the damn country doesn’t wear them, Starbucks isn’t about to really enforce it for their employees :/

That’s a leadership issue. I don’t know if your DM or your SM or a little of both but if the leadership is solid, you wouldn’t have that. I can’t imagine a single store in my district where this wouldn’t be enforced.
For reference, we are supposed to be wearing masks the ENTIRE time we are in the store, whether we are on the clock or not. The only exception is for eating/drinking. And DTO is supposed to be at the front register no matter what, and with a mask. It’s not either/or.

You know it literally doesn’t matter for us, right? It’s legit only to protect customers. If we are in close quarters for hours, mask or not, you’re getting covid from each other. Don’t burn bridges and just drop it dude. Starbucks doesn’t give us PPE.

They are firing people for not wearing it properly. A whole shift team was canned at my store.
