Drive-Through during COVID-19(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by lesbian_valkyrie
Hey guys, just wanna know if y’all have been coughed on when you’re working the drive-through? I was covering a break today and was coughed on because of our long wait times. I got the license plate and gave it to my manager who then called the police department and made and incident report for me. If you have been coughed on, what did you and/or your manager do?

Expelling bodily fluids onto another person purposely is a form of assault in many states. You could press charges if you want to depending on where you live.

Thats disgusting. I believe in karma and they’re gonna get theirs. I’m so sorry that happened to you.

I've never had someone do it on purpose but one lady made eye contact with me right before coughing into her hands and right as she reached for her wallet I saw the recognition in her eyes of what she had done, but by then she didn't know what to do about it and just kinda ignored what she did. It honestly pissed me off though. I'm immunocompromised and I immediately ran to wash my hands after interaction with her.

Ugh. I’ve had two people sneeze or cough DIRECTLY on their credit card before handing it to me. In both instances it seemed to be that they were just being careless, not intentional, but I was horrified and disgusted. And made sure to sanitize their cards right in front of them before changing my gloves and then running the card 😅
