My SM claimed a customer called the DM and told him the partners weren't wearing masks and instructed her to fire everyone working that shift. One of the partners she fired is a SSV.
I've seen my SM pull her mask down to flirt with customers, a lot of partners never saw her wearing hers properly so they weren't concerned. Something doesn't seem right.

Yup or ethics and compliance. You don’t fire a team just like that at all. There are very few reasons you could terminate someone without a verbal warning, followed by a written, followed by a final written. That’s grounds for a lawsuit.

I literally just won partner of the quarter and was about to be promoted to SSV, but I took CAT pay and didn’t finish some modules during that time so she says “we’re going to hold off on that” and she’s been treating me bad ever since.
This just seems like an excuse to fire people she has something personal against.

Seconded on calling PCC. I would be fighting this because it sounds fishy and without even a verbal or written? When did the customer come in? Did they mention anything to the people on shift? Silver linings now you qualify for unemployment... but I hope you’re alright otherwise.

You need to call your DM and ask what's going on. I'm sorry this is happening to you and I would be rasing questions about your state/providence law about immediate dismissal .

The rumor mill is a great number of us will be replaced over the next 6 months and that partner resources is allowing managers their own discretion to fire under state laws. My state isn't at will, but LOTS of southern states are (they can legally terminate you for any reason) and some old friends are freaking out because their managers are doing things like this. Especially to people who took CAT pay. Again. Rumors and second hand info only, but i have a feeling we will see these kinds of stories more and more often. Everyone keep working hard and following the rules!!!

I find it very absurd that you’d get fired, no warning and for something as silly as that. Many customers absolutely refuse to wear masks but you lose your whole job over it? Call upper management and see what’s going on because something doesn’t seem right.

Maybe you can get this discrepancy taken care of and work at a different store??? But at this point, I would happily go somewhere else.
