Call ethics and compliance immediately I don’t know exactly what she’s trying to pull but if you got fired you wouldn’t have any shifts

Because I declined to resign she said she had to wait to hear from Starbucks and we have to have a meeting over it tomorrow I guess, but I’m suspecting she is just dragging me in to fire me / trying to get me not to show up so they can blame me for job abandonment.

This all sounds really terrible, I know it’s late now but definitely try to call ethics and put your foot down. She should have already had the details secured with your DM before sitting you down, I think she might be drowning bc her plan was to make you resign

We just had the meeting today at 5 am too. I was aware that the meeting was taking place but she sent me home right after. So I’ve been missing all my hours too. I have appeal form for separation that corporate told me to file and they would investigate it. Can she really pin job abandonment on me tomorrow if I didn’t show?

Potentially? I think it might be better if you do show up OR if you were able to get your shift covered? Just so that way you can open up an investigation where no moves on your part look suspicious. A no call no show (which is probably what she would pin it as) is a firable offense, even if the other stuff you “did” absolutely aren’t

I would show up for your shift and just stand there.

Honestly I might as well.

You can still contact your DM. You also can try to collect statements from other partners that were there during the *"meeting"* even. That is humiliating and I'm sorry you had to experience that. I hope you can stay with the company, my dear.

I haven’t contacted my DM yet, honestly I’m scared to. Do you think I should or would the appeal form be good enough?
Fox_Empress 3 points 3y ago
I would start by seeing if you can get some statements from your partners. I have a pretty good relationship with my DM, so that where I stand. Please use caution.

I will. I’m really trying not to be an aggressor and make things worse. I just have never been treated like this before by management and it hurts. She’s also only been here 4 months:/ and on our meeting back she made it quite clear about how she wasn’t afraid to fire us and hire people who would do their jobs.

Thank you for the Advice ❤️

I agree that you need to call PCC. These are not Starbucks standards. Once you file all the forms you should apply for your state’s unemployment until the appeal is approved or denied. I don’t see why they would deny it though.
