Aprons *face palm* (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by PossibleWishbone1
As I’m getting ready for bed, I go to my stepmom to say goodnight and as I turn around to leave the room, she asks me why the back of my neck is getting so dark.

I instantly realized that the aprons they have us wearing chafe (sp?) against the back of my neck and even after constantly adjusting them, they still cause friction on the back of my neck. It most definitely hurts. I also have sensitive skin everywhere else but my face. I even had my manager tell me I needed to adjust my apron to be better fitting because I’m always wearing mine a little loose (i’m very slim and I swear I adjust my apron ten times a shift and it still looks so big on me/sits awkward on my body).

I honestly thought about putting something around the part that goes over your neck but I’m almost 100% sure I can’t because it’d be against dress code/company policy.

It doesn’t matter what the material the aprons are made out of, the fact that it’s constantly digging into/rubbing against my neck is obnoxious 😖

You can wear a button up shirt with a collar and put your apron under the collar and on top of the shirt so there’s something between your skin and the apron!

This! My aprons have softened after years of washing, but i used to get those cotton polos (the ones that are soft) and tuck the apron under the collar. Soo much more comfy.
