i don't work at starbucks i just thought it'd be funny to join this subreddit. i think it's funnier that if this post gets removed it'll be unfair because it isn't against the rules. maybe i'm misjudging the harshness of the mods here, maybe they'll be cool with it, who knows. while i'm here can i get your opinion on semi skimmed milk? it's a topic i feel very strongly about

Upvoting for the weirdness. Do you mean like 1/2 %? Do you find it odd? Or do you just have a deepseated passion for dairy? I'm so curious, let's discuss.

i've been told that in different countries the caps on the milk are different, for example here in Britain the cap for whole milk in blue, while in america it's red. assuming you're from america, i'm not to sure what an american equivalent is to semi skimmed, but from what i've seen i'm going to assume it's basically the same as both 1% and 2%. in regards to your next two questions the answer to both of them, is yes. i have always drank whole milk and have never drank anything else, even though my mum prefers semi skimmed and plagues my fridge. i believe my dad would make jokes about semi skimmed milk being worse, and being autistic, i took it seriously and have now developed the mentality that if my milk carton doesn't have a blue cap it is not worth drinking, and is disgusting.

I'm from Canada and as far as I can tell it depends on the brand. I work at a coffee shop and our regular brand has a blue cap for skim milk, purple cap for 2%, and a red cap for whole milk.

We recently started using a substitute company and their cap colors were all switched around. I'm not sure about the U.S or other countries though.

i'm pretty sure the caps in the UK are

blue=whole

green=semi skimmed

red=skimmed

purple=1%

that's all the milk i could find, i'm not too confident on my knowledge of the 1% so take that with a grain of salt

My opinion on1% milk? If you order it, you're getting nonfat
kylelovershrek2 [OP] 1 points 3y ago
nonfat is the most incorrect choice there is it's the complete opposite of whole milk, which in case you've forgotten is the best milk
