Training on Law Enforcement (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by midnight617
I’m not sure I feel comfortable with the training I received today regarding law enforcement, especially in light of the recent events surrounding the murder of George Floyd. If this training was not in response to the event, it should have been held back or adjusted in response to his murder. If it was in response however, it feels really gross. Not only that but it felt off that it was required to be taken alone and not in a group in what feels like an attempt to suppress discussion between partners. Anyways those are my thoughts regarding the training, I hadn’t seen any discussion here yet.

It’s not in response to recent events. Partners have been receiving this training for months now.

Fr. The cops in my area are often creepy and make a point of remembering our names and (if applicable) where we live

We cant look at customers the wrong way without possible write-ups but cops get to come in and make wierd comments/demands

Im so sorry youre dealing with this go tf off

They had to have been planning this for months ahead of time. It's just poor timing.
