so i’m new to my store (transferred last week). yesterday was my first time ever working with one of the closing supervisors. they BARELY acknowledged my presence. in fact, it wasn’t that they didn’t make me feel welcomed, they made me feel unwelcomed. it didn’t bother me too much, because everyone else has been very warm and gracious. today, that same less-than-pleasant supervisor asked me if i’d be willing to cover their shift. yeah, no thanks. perhaps they were having a bad day, but first impressions are a big deal to me. hope everyone is having an awesome Sunday!

I would have done the same. Any new partners we get I always introduce myself and try to make them feel welcomed and supported. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with that.

my manager likes to pull the same games. kinda makes her not favorites feel like garbage. and she NEVER stays for her whole shift when she’s scheduled to be on the floor. and she tries to call me in “early to help out” every time to cover her. and once i caught onto her tricks, i stopped.

That’s crumby! Sorry you had a rough interaction, especially since you’ve just started! Hopefully things warm up quickly and you’re able to feel more included soon!
