Nervous about coming back tomorrow(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by fuckchemtrailsyo
Hi everyone, I'm immunocompromised and I have been on leave since mid March. I only worked at Starbucks for 2 months before I took the leave and I feel like I finally got a grasp on how to do everything right before corona. Now that I've been gone for almost 3 months, I feel like i forgot everything and i am just so anxious to come back tomorrow!! A shift supervisor assured me that they've been working with training everyone how to welcome partners back and I get that, I just can't shake this feeling of nervousness and the feeling of not knowing how the vibe will be, we also have a ton of new partners and I loved how wholesome our staff was before..
I guess I'm just asking, has anyone else taken the leave and came back to work? How was your first day back? I just have anxiety lol thanks

when I came back I was certain I would forget everything but it just all bounced back after the first shift.

Our store closed for a month and I believe most partners took the leave. We reopened when the leave ended, and we had a meeting the day before where we watched videos, chatted, had donuts and coffee and our new SM bought us all plants. I loved it and my first shift (and week) was amazing then we got shut down again due to people having symptoms lol

Been out for the same amount on time, we opened up for a day the something happened and we had to close again, it comes back pretty quickly, shouldn't need to worry too much

Omg this is me! I’m going back tomorrow (I have asthma and my mom who I live with, is immunocompromised) I went back at the beginning on may but nobody at my store was taking things seriously (not wearing masks, constantly taking them off, not keeping distance) so I’m really afraid to go back. Not to mention my mom got some bad tests results and we’re waiting to hear if she has cancer. This whole thing just sucks. I’ve been out since the second week of March (started working at sbux at the end of january) and I’m so nervous because I genuinely don’t remember how to make anything. I’m desperately trying to find a cheat sheet that’ll fit on my lock screen of my phone but haven’t found any. Wish me luck, and I’ll wish some for you.

Oh man, well you made the right decision to stay home. I'm sending you best wishes for your mom & for you going back to work! Luckily my supervisor said I should just be taking orders and stuff when I first come back so I assume they should ease you in the same way. We got this!!
