so my store has only been doing mobile pickups and orders at the door, no one is allowed in the cafe except partners. i was put on door duty for the first time today for the last hour of my shift, and it mostly went fine despite my nerves, except one woman (who’s name wasn’t karen, but was quite close to it) walked right up to the door while my back was turned checking something, and she walked in before i could stop her. i asked what she was here for but stood back to keep my distance, and she just say “oh my drinks right here” and grabbed her s’mores frappuccino and a straw. i was way too nervous to say anything and kept looking to my shift manager, who finally told her “we’re actually not letting people into the cafe right now.” and she just said “oh, sorry. i didn’t know.” this is how every store around us has been doing it for the past month. we have multiple signs that say “open for mobile pickup and order at the door” outside. we have a table in front of the door. we have a sign on the door that says “CAFE CURRENTLY CLOSED.” there’s no way she didn’t know. but at least she had a mask i guess?
