I was marked for job abandonment? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hello all!
Today I just found out that I am no longer employeed with Starbucks because I have been marked with job abandonment? I only work at Starbucks part-time on Friday’s. The last time I worked was May 3rd. I was not scheduled 3 weeks out from then because I requested those days off. I just called today to see if I was on any of the next schedules and my new manager informed me I am no longer employeed for job abandonment?! She said she had been trying to get ahold of me for a month and called and texted me. And because I didn’t respond she had to mark me for job abandonment. I asked if there is anything I can do about it and she said no I have to reapply and get rehired. I didn’t receive any texts from her but I did see 2 missed calls from her. Im just confused because it wasn’t like I missed a shift and she couldn’t get ahold of me- I literally wasn’t scheduled. Is there really nothing I can do about this? I feel like she should have tried harder to contact me before literally un employing me during this time? Any help is appreciated thank you

Generally, if my manager calls, and I see I missed it, I call back. It's almost always important.

Yeah this is true. If I’m in the shower or sleeping I call back as soon as I see it. Some managers don’t like texting. Mine always tells me she prefers calling me

I did not realize I missed a call from her till I called today and she told me- then I went back and checked and saw the missed call but no texts. I also just got a new phone
