My Manager is more worried about our customers connection score than our safety also rigged POTQ. A rant... (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hi I’m a current Partner 😁. So I love my manager I really really do but sometimes shes too much. A family friend well to my parents really not me id call her a close acquaintance. But sometimes she gets on our nerves. From rigged partner of the quarter (who can kiss her behind the most) to overreacting about Customer Connection Scores. Yes I know customer connection scores matter and I think were most of that stems from why we went from 41 to 33 is because a lot of our baristas including me are always telling customers about certain rules like wearing a mask when you come to drive through or when they’re upset we tell them to order at the screen (yes some get mad for us telling them that) but going to the mask thing I get really upset when I see customers with no masks on because I myself am a High risk partner. I do not in now way can afford to get covid. I always remind customers to wear a mask. It really bothers me and im upset because my manager is high risk as well but when she helps us she says she will never go to the window while I a high risk partner was not offered/given/allowed that option by her even though I told her my situation. Sometimes I think maybe she needs a reality check. Oh and the rigged POTQ thing two employees who are shifts who have been working with the company for almost 20+ years who she talks and jokes with have never ever been POTQ and i find it baffling. The last POTQ there was an apparent tie my manager said but no revote on the ones who were tied it was a 3 way tie. After finding out that the partners who have been working there the longest have gotten to the point where they have snapped back at my manager and i almost did too at one point cuz she scolded me rather than told me in a nicer tone like i almost broke down and cried and i think thats not something that i should happen at work but i am a sensitive person I really try my best to make everyone happy but when it comes to her nothing is good enough. But I really feel for those partners they are honestly the best and id call them family because they’re really great people and i dont get how neither of them have won?!

Just for your information, POQ always comes down to the manager's decision. They technically can pick someone who got 0 votes.

I guess thats true but like others say why even vote? When she doesn’t take it into account? But i’m just still baffled about the shifts who have been working there i think about 15+ years alongside her and she didn’t choose one of them? They’re amazing people! Like she wonders why morale is so low or why sometimes shit doesnt get done. Like one of the two shifts is a night shift and he does a lot for the opening crew a lot and when he comes in nothing gets done for him. He only stays because he loves the company. He plans to leave and move and transfer once he’s able to. Gonna miss him. I really feel for him because a lot of the things he does goes unnoticed by out manager especially even if we praise him.

Oh man. I had a wild customer come in the other day and just start going on a rant about how she feels like shes in Nazi Germany because of all this and that shes a "nurse" and the masks do more harm than good. It took all of my willpower not to pop off on her right then and there. I'm sure my baristas would have enjoyed that show at least lol
