Where to go from here (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by strawberryacai1212
Hello all. I just got the news today that despite my team’s efforts to get our store open again, we will not be reopening for at least a few months (for a variety of reasons). This means that many baristas in my store, including myself, have had to initiate a leave of absence. I love being a barista and throughout my time working at Starbucks the job has become such a huge part of who I am. I guess I’m just wondering how other partners who are going through similar situations right now are coping with the temporary or permanent loss of their jobs. I’ll take any advice you have cause I’m feeling really low and lost atm.

hey partner. i’m so sorry to hear this news. i’ve been fortunate to work at a drive thru store and have not had to worry about the same things as you have had to worry about. while i don’t have any advice to offer, i do wish you the best and i hope that you will be able to make it out of all of this okay. we are all here for you to support and care for you. i wish you the best!

Remember Starbucks is a company and YOU are a human being. Take care of yourself and your health first, always. I love my store and partners and it hurts a great deal to leave. I'm confident that myself and others will be welcomed back after all of this over.

Best wishes!
