so basically no winning? (self.starbucksbaristas)

im probably gonna stay because i just cant bank on getting unemployment money so easily and i got bills to pay but what i dont understand is that i get the labor cuts because you cant afford to pay us but having less coverage makes them lose even more business. were a high volume store that generates probably the most profit for our district. if we have a solid floor we can pump out orders like no tomorrow. my SM has said that the more customers we serve the more people he is allowed to schedule to meet the demand. well with labor cuts like having only 3 people on the floor from 12-2 PM how are we supposed to be able to pump out the long drive thru lines we have plus mobiles to get our profits back up??? absolutely ridiculous. it just feels like theres no winning. maybe i just dont understand business

There's absolutely no winning. Corporate keeps moving goalposts and setting us up to fail.

Sad thing is they absolutely can afford to pay their staff without cuts. They just wanna make sure the CEO and board get to take home their regular amount

It’s about the shareholders and the higher ups at this point. Now that they’re impacted, changes have to be made

it’s so obvious too. they swear up and down that they care about us when they don’t!

Do you know your store is cutting labor? Some locations may not see cuts. It should be based on how busy each store is. Some stay the same, some decrease, a few close completely, some may even increase if a nearby closes and shifts customers to other location that stays open.

My high volume store cut labor, told us we have 15 people too many at the store, and that’s while the store has been making more sales than before we shut down the store for COVID
