havent had the ~options~ talk, not working again until monday (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by coconutw4ter
hi everyone, hoping for a bit of advice. i’m one of the last people at my store to receive the three options talk, i’m assuming i was going to get pulled aside today but i had to leave early due to a personal emergency. my managers are trying to keep this very hush and i was told by a shift that everyone was ordered not to talk about what they chose and the basis of the conversation, so i’m not even supposed to know about it. looking through this sub i found out that we need to have our decision in by sunday, but i’m not working again until monday and i will be out of state until then. i’m worried that because of the circumstance, i’m going to be forced into taking the LOA which is definitely not my first choice - i want to keep working, even if my hours are cut. but i’m also worried that if i reach out to my store managers i’ll get someone in trouble for telling me about everything. should i risk waiting until monday to talk to my managers? or should i just get over my anxiety and text them lmao

thanks, hope everyone is doing well

My SM just assumed everyone was talking about it and was a little surprised at how little I knew.

technically you would already know because the options info is posted on the partner hub, so if you did say something you could say you were reading through the partner hub and came across it

Our SM called anyone not working the day she had our meetings.. I would say it’s worth giving your SM a call or texting them.

My manager didn’t have conversations with anyone and didn’t even mention the options until I asked. Evidently our store is busy enough that business isn’t calling for our hours to be cut all that much, so nobody has to go on leave

They 100% should call you BUT I definitely told my manager that I already knew because of reddit. Oops
