Vanilla sweet cream cold foam? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Cnoelle228
Can any baristas tell me how the vanilla sweet cream cold foam is made and how it compares to just regular “cold foam”?

If I get a cold brew and ask for SF vanilla in the cold brew, do you think most baristas would also use SF in the actual cold foam?

I’ve been doing weight watchers and I usually will get a grande cold brew, with SF vanilla in the cold brew, and then topped with VSC cold foam. I figured this isn’t packed with too many calories since the cold brew and SF vanilla is basically 0 calories and the majority are coming from the cold foam.

vanilla sweet cream is made in bulk and we foam it to order. it's essentially 1 part vanilla syrup, 2 parts 2% milk, 3 parts heavy cream. regular cold foam is a completely different beast; it's nonfat milk foamed with vanilla syrup. this we do make to order though, so it's no problem to sub sf vanilla in your cold foam!

I thought cold foam was just non fat no syrup

you'd be wrong my friend! it gets vanilla by default :-)

So I can say “Please add SF vanilla into the cold foam” and it wouldn’t be a problem?

You can substitute SF vanilla in regular cold foam with no issue. However, you *cannot* with vanilla sweet cream. It’s made in large batches in advance.

I'm pretty sure regular cold foam has vanilla syrup
