starrynightblossoms [OP] 6 points 3y ago

starrynightblossoms [OP] 6 points 3y ago
ya, the barista that was typing it in has only been a partner for about 2 weeks and got v flustered. she ended up pressing the wrong button but like, the lady seriously got 65 pumps.

starrynightblossoms [OP] 4 points 3y ago

Highcolasoda 2 points 3y ago
I bet she slowly worked her way up to that point. imagine her like ordering 5... then 10... then 25.........
asphyxiat3xx 6 points 3y ago
First of all, tell whoever does your RPO to order new shakers lol. Second, diabeetus.
ilford_6x6 3 points 3y ago
Is the other part of the order 20 pumps?
starrynightblossoms [OP] 4 points 3y ago
yup, everyone stopped and stared at each other when she said that and then she went on with the 65 pumps lol
aeszoku 3 points 3y ago
is there a point when you’re allowed to say no?
starrynightblossoms [OP] 4 points 3y ago
idk, the worst part was it didn’t charge her any more. the partner ringing it in was new and got so flustered i felt bad
snidejenner 2 points 3y ago
Regardless of the partner ringing it in being new, she still wouldnt pay extra for it. You dont pay extra for something that's already in the drink.

Considering LCS is half pumps, this makes it actually 32.5 pumps. Which, is a lot, but for a Trenta is only like 4x the normal amount. That makes sense to me. Idk why.

Edited to add: oops just read it's a venti. Still only about 5x more than usually. Still makes sense to me. Lol especially w/ no water or ice. That shits gonna be STRONG

I’ve seen 80 🥺
holy_mohly 1 points 3y ago
She better be making a big batch of sweet tea with that when she gets home 🤮 hopefully she's using it like a base! 😷
espressoyoself1 1 points 3y ago
You need a new shaker. Seeing that one like this breaks my heart 😂

How much was the total? In my store we would charge 30cent per each extra pump
soraah97 1 points 3y ago
Holy damn guys dont down vote me 😂 im not the boss of my store you know that right?
I work in a store in Europe so maybe things here are different? But here we have extras in our system, that includes extra pumps of syrup, so if you order a caramel machiatto but with more pumps of vanilla we charge extra. To me it makes sense actually , why would you charge the same amount to someone who ordered 60 more pumps? Thats a huge hole in your inventory plus someone could just ask for 100 pumps of mocha and make it at home.
How do you count your inventory? In our system when your order a tall drink it counts exactly how many pumps it took from our inventory, if someone asks for 60more pumps the system needs to know and charge for it
snidejenner 1 points 3y ago
What?! When I worked at Starbucks we would never charge for something that already comes in the drink. LCS comes in the Black Tea so you could get 1 million pumps and never charge for it. Also, even if they added a syrup that isnt in the drink and would have to pay for it, it's a single charge of 30 cents not 30 cents a pump. Where tf do you work???
