Question is, am I getting fired after the shift for being taken to jail and ‘shining a negative light on Starbucks’?

A few partners were arrested in my town for protesting a few days ago and corporate took care of them. I’m not sure exactly what they did but they helped them out somehow, enough for people involved to bring it up whenever they can

In ‘managers’: ‘how can you do this to me today? We’re so understaffed!’

For anyone who might be coming to the comments about how this was written (like the deleted comment): something I learned back when I was trying to read Huckleberry Finn was to read it outloud! Reading accents outloud is much easier than in your head.

I hope this helps someone! :)

AAE (same words as AAVE, just no V) is a more current term, but I’m speaking as someone involved in linguistics, not a Black person.

It’s understandable to get tripped up reading something, but it’s not impossible to just reread and figure it out. You’d think they’d see the irony of acting linguistically superior whilst admitting they can’t read stuff lmao.

True but you understood it, no?

Honestly, my SM would bail me out out of love. But, she'd probably also bail me out if I were scheduled for peak that day too 😅
