Chose option 3 after over 5 years (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by vegan-trash
It was a tough conclusion to come to but I need to take care of my family and my health during these times. I have intentions of coming back after COVID settles down. I can’t help but feel a little upset with myself for leaving the company although I know it’s not a permanent position. The uncertainty ahead gives me a lot of anxiety. I feel like I let a lot of people down who I loved working with and things just feel a little weird

Just venting

I took it too, just celebrated my one year with the company too :( Feeling rather sad about it but I know that mentally and emotionally it’s what’s best for me in this moment. Sending you all the barista hugs ❤️

Good luck!!!🖤 I was gonna take preference 3 as well, but decided to stay a little longer.

my 3 year is on the 16th this month and I chose option 3 as well. Felt like I was abandoning ship but I feel like it's the best for myself as well since I just got into business school and my whole family is high risk.

Did the same. I intended to just take a leave of absence but was told it was either stay or take the severance.
Don’t feel bad! I’m trying not to as well, but we have to take care of ourselves.
