Just tell them the truth. If this is the first time it’s happened I doubt you will be fired, maybe written up, but it just depends on what your manager is like.

I’ve mixed up scheduled and been hours late/not shown up before, too. But everyone in my store knows I work hard, and I rarely call off (literally maybe once a year). People make mistakes. Only when it becomes a pattern does it evolve into a problem.
If you’re a reliable partner, it won’t be a big deal! Your SM simply may be worried about you.

It's happened to all of us, there's no way you should be fired for that if it's your first time doing it. Just be honest! I almost missed a shift last week bc I thought I was off that day but it was the next day lol, my manager was understanding.

Just call and tell them the truth. As a shift, I have my reliable people and when they are late or miss, I straight bup assume an emergency or something, and just want to know that they are safe. I know who are the ones who are just late or lazy or whatever. It becomes apparent pretty quickly.

Just be honest. It happens to everyone. Might be a write-up sure but shouldn’t be that big a deal.

This same thing has happened to me numerous times to count and the best thing that has ever came out of my being honest was me being able to keep my job. You might get written up but not fired. So just be honest.
Or you could also say something came up and you were so overwhelmed you couldn’t call? But then that would be a hard lie to keep up with idk.
Just be honest lol
