Cleaning idea; hear me out (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’m back on my clean play bullshit, and am wondering if anyone has ever tried this/is it even allowed. Those awful anti-fatigue mats take waaaaaay too much time to scrub down properly, and we don’t have any outdoor space or hose. Our mop room is about nine feet square (so basically just a closet with the mop sink).
Could we conceivably super-clean out a trash can, fill it with hot mop water, and let the mats soak one by one while we do other tasks? My thinking is that I could loosely burrito a mat into a trash can, fill er up, do something else for ten minutes, then go back and scrub it down to a much greater effect and much more quickly than it takes to just lay it out and scrub it with some mop water.
Also, any other suggestions re cleaning those awful mats would be appreciated!

Take them to the car wash in the back of someone’s truck and spray them down. We do that every few months!

Me too. I was thinking reuse one trash can of water just to loosen the filth, then actually removing dirt with the big scrubber so the water in the trash can doesn’t get super filthy.

I see where youre coming from, but at that point youre compromising how clean the ones after the first one can get because the water will get dirtier and dirtier. :/

My SM and I are so close to just lighting them all on fire. They take longer to clean properly and actually get all the grime out than mopping our entire cafe, which is pretty huge.

We used a pressure washer. Until our partner who owned a pressure washer transferred out of the area

One of our partners bought a hose with some money we had for winning some shit. When we have cleanplay nights someone will drag them outside, hose them down, and scrub with a giant scrub with a handle. The other alternative is a different partner will scrub them out in the three part sink but that’s fucking nasty. Don’t recommend.

I just ordered a special medium scrubber with a handle on IMS. Apparently it’s on a swivel, so it pushes all the grime out way better than the giant deck scrubber
