Being Forced To Transfer or Take A Chance To Lose My Job (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by 11Dori96
I've been working at my location for over five years. Started as a barista and moved up to Shift supervisor. The growth and community my partners and I have built over these five years are so strong.
Though, since I chose option one (out of three) my DM and manager are making me leave MY store because "of my availability"..... I was fine with taking hourly cuts, I am okay with having to work MORE hours .... why do I have to completely leave my store or take LOA with no pay then have to wait until my manager needs me to come in?
I'm baffled and truly sad. I understand the economy is the way it is on top of the virus.
I'm viewing this opportunity to transfer as a sign of growth as this new location is in need of a shift supervisor.
I just never saw this coming, I can't believe I have to transfer stores.

I’m in the same boat, supervisor who’s been at the same cozy neighborhood cafe store for 2 1/2 years and love every single one of my coworkers and most of our regulars and has taken a lot of pride in helping improve our store. Just got told I’ll be transferring to a mall kiosk because too many people took option 3 there. Still processing everything but it just sucks, I don’t want to leave my family here :/

Seriously sucks. I can't believe it, but I'm thankful to have a job. It's just hurtful & bittersweet
