Fuck I didn't even know that. We weren't told at my store that our choice was technically a preference and had the scary realization that people who chose option 1 could have been laid off

Its just a preference ive heard a lot of barista arent being approved for it so you essentially have to quit voluntarily meaning you would not qualify for unemployment. The company just wants to save face make it sound good but in actuality they aren’t giving baristas a choice at all. What an embarrassment.
