Do they have any idea how freaking exhausting that is? Specially for those of us introverts that are already trying hard to make small and meaningless small talk in an endless drive thru line? It's so hot and we're breathing in hot air because of the mask, we don't have access to water whenever need it (just breaks)... those expectations are insane. I'd love for some empathy to be extended our way.

I can still hear the voice of my SM who would constantly watch me when I first started and would say “don’t forget to make those customer connections!” through the headset. I quit after a month because I got so tired of being forced to carry conversations with customers who clearly didn’t want to talk.

THIS. I had family come through and I was told to cut the connection short because of drive times. I legit asked my SSV to tell me whether they wanted me to connect or not, I was so done.

Make meaningful connections with EVERY customer, OH, but also keep the store immaculately clean and constantly stocked and don't get out of customer support routine, OH and also keep DT times down to 5 seconds!!!1!
