Starbucks Baristas: The daily grind

Hey all, I'm having a little bit of trouble figuring out how this transferring stuff works. (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by RetroNotRetro
I was recently approved for a transfer (thank the lordt because this makes my finding a place to live so much easier), and I'm just waiting on the transfer papers so I can complete them and move stores when I need to. The only problem is that I'm not getting any help, and I've never transferred before and don't know what on earth I'm doing. I asked my manager this morning if the manager of the other store had given her a call about the papers, and she got an incredibly confused look on her face, followed by an equally confused sounding "no?" This is odd to me, as she knows I'm transferring and, upon calling the other store for details the other day, the manager wasn't there but a barista said that she saw her on the phone with my current manager talking about the transfer.

My manager, after the confused "no," proceeds to tell me that I need to fill the forms out myself and that they can be found on the Partner Portal. I looked everywhere, used the search bar tool and everything, but I could only find PDFs of manager forms (I think?) and empty, confusing forms that had other people's names in the file titles. Manager said she would help me, that was about 3 or 4 hours ago. I got to the store upon opening, and I'm here til close (transportation issues, don't ask. Partly why I'm moving). I get that we're busy, but we're a rare store that gets its peak between noon and the 6:00pm covid closing time. If she doesn't feel she's able to help me before I or she leaves today, I'm gonna be quite upset, because I'll have been here literally all day, and not by choice either. The very least I could do with my time is be productive and get this crap out of the way so I don't have to deal with it last minute and can just pack, move, and start at the new location smoothly.

Rant aside (my apologies), is there anyone here who knows the process for transferring between stores? I'd very much like to not be confused, and just worry about at what point of the day people decide to order nothing but frappuccinos for an hour.

Help

TL;DR - I need to get transfer forms filled out, manager isn't being too helpful (though I may be in the wrong here, but I'm just stating what I'm perceiving). Anyone know what to do to transfer?

You need to find and print Transfer Request Form (these exact words) on the HUB and fill it out. Once filled out, give it to your SM.

I think I found the form, but there are some things on it that I don't understand and were never explained to me. Project? Business priority? Requirement? Level of effort? Not sure what "resource" is next to available times, nor anything in the section titled "Cost Estimate for CW Resources" and below. I'm incredibly confused. I clock in in about 45 minutes, and after that I won't have time to get the help I need from anyone. Still have received no help from the manager. I called the other store and was told that that manager did call, but there was no answer and she would like my manager to call her back. When I told her this, she gave me a look that appeared frustrated/annoyed, and I'm anxious to ask for any more help for fear that she might not approve the transfer. Not sure if that's a thing, but this is all new to me and I don't like upsetting people.

Ok so, you need to go on the HUB (from back of the house computer). Type in transfer request from on the top right search bar. The first result should be the PDF form. You need to print it and fill out the top portion of the form only. Your SM and DM will need to fill out the rest of the form.

I printed the from and will try to scan it and upload it on my google drive and try to send it to you.

I’ll try and get you a form in an hour or so. I’ll send you a DM.
