Exactly! I am a new barista of color, and I thought that this was an amazing job. Now, I am rethinking. I don’t think I can work somewhere that doesn’t support people of color.

this- i’m a former parter as of yesterday and it was definitely performative of corporate to post on instagram that they want to continue to stand in solidarity with Black partners and customers while they’re simultaneously behind the scenes issuing memos stressing that we also have to make cops feel comfortable in our stores too. the two are mutually exclusive
