Yeah I’m scheduled for the afternoon block next week? And then back to morning block? Defeats the whole purpose. So stupid

My store never implemented block scheduling. SM just took a poll and every barista was against it since it meant less hours for most people.
Block scheduling was never required by Starbucks. It was just a suggestions and it’s up to the DMs and SMs to decide whether they gonna do it or not.

My SM was hopping from shifts to shifts whenever she liked until the DM brought the hammer down and she was throwing a tantrum about it. Now we have so strict block but not before one of my baristas on my block covers for one of her favorites who’s on vacation right now.

Our store is doing block scheduling but I trained the last two weeks with morning block and then got put to night block. Now I found out one of the morning block people that I trained next to has a covid positive family member and he is being tested now as well. I have a bad lung so I'm scared about the entire situation especially getting moved to night block knowing I was around someone who may have it. And now our outside cafe is open, customers hardly ever wear masks...its just all around scary and we shouldn't be opening up as much as we are when these things are still happening.
