Strange after taste (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hello baristas, today I got my usual strawberry açaí but it had a very weird sweet/bitter after taste. I got it remade thinking it would be different but it still had the after taste. How does this occur, I’ve gotten açaís that we’re too sweet before but nothing like this. Kinda bummed cuz I was looking forward to it

All the stores in my district got a bad batch. We are still serving it 🤦♀️🙃 because they dont think it is dangerous but it definitely tastes off.

I’ve heard some baristas saying people have said the strawberry base tastes different. It could be a weird batch going around

That can sometimes happen with the dried fruit, I've found.

A couple days ago DM told us to pull it off the shelves because it appears that it has been contaminated with some sort of syrup (why it has that sweeter/weird after taste)
