“Don’t grab items” sign (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by aliidilbiib
So our “please don’t grab your mobile order” sign is apparently either too small or not simple enough to be understood because people are still reaching over to grab what is not theirs🙄 we finally got a chalkboard so I’m going to make a bigger one. Do you guys have any signs like this? I’m trying to figure out the wording that is within Starbucks standard and without using profanity😂 Suggestions?

In our store we have it where we ask the person if they had a mobile order and then we grab it ourselves for them. Honestly you can never trust people to read a sign anywhere lmaoo

Ditto this! We put it out clearly out of reach behind plexiglass

Our hand off area is just a huge wide countertop. No plexi or anything to separate. So we have no choice but to leave mobile orders there. We do however keep them so close to the edge on our side but people are practically climbing over the counter rather than say “hey, I’m John I have a mobile order”🙄

I highly recommend visuals. Memes or a giant literal red stop sign with the white hand would get their attention I hope!

We set up our condiment bar as a mobile pick up station. It’s close to the registers/pastry case. It faces the pastry case so customer see the back of it. When mobiles are ready we set them next to the trash bin holes so customers don’t see them and don’t touch them. Customers come up to the mobile pick up and our front reg person will go other there, ask their name and give them their drink. That way customers don’t touch others drinks.
