any other companies that cover transitions? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by guillotinefag
I'm fed up with this company. I'm not even gonna go into it cause y'all know the drill. Entitled ass customers, ridiculous "connection" expectations, low pay, hours getting cut, the whole deal.

the only reason I'm still here is because it guarantees that my transition will be covered (I'm non-binary FTM).

so uh, does anyone know of any other companies that cover that?

How does SB cover it? Like HRT and/or surgically? My partner is FTM and I don’t believe his company covers anything.

Honestly I'm not 100% sure, it's kinda vague. I'm pretty sure it covers both HRT and surgery (and I'm seeking both), I've just been told that they cover "all transition costs" and that's about it.

It’s gonna come down to what doctors are in network with your specific insurance. (I’m assuming you’re in the US?)

US yeah, so I get my insurance *from* Starbucks...

I originally made a comment with an explanation of how to identify what care you can expect to have covered through your insurance with SBUX but I remembered that’s not what your original post was about.

There are a couple things that make Starbucks insurance special. For one thing, they offer it to you at part-time hours. For another, I’m told that the specific plans they offer are VERY good for the money. What kind of jobs were you thinking of looking at?
