Stores Shutdown & COVID-19 (self.starbucksbaristas)

OKAY so some of you may have been affected by the corporates decision to shut down stores and so-forth.

this is a question and open to speculations for stores who remained open:
what is starbucks going to do when the second wave hits? for example, my store is in the DFW area and cases are SPIKING every day. i feel keeping open full hours and allowing in-store order and pick up is reckless right now. nothing is getting better and people here are getting sick while others go out without a mask or anything.

this actually kinda turned into a rant and i'm sorry about that! it just makes me worried because it's like... is having an old woman yell at me every day for wearing a mask worth having the inside open? cases are getting too high here to not be worried

Super curious to know too. Or if Starbucks can 'afford' to send us on CAT pay part 2.

especially now that lobbies are opening up by next week! this is crazy! all i can think is the huge rise in cases and how this could possibly be a huge risk

It's gonna be great, especially when we can't ask people to be responsible (i.e. care about us as people and not just drink-making machines) and wear their masks.

You have every right to be concerned in DFW. INDOOR seating is opening back up in 2-3 weeks. You cant' even go inside Whataburger for a to-go order, but Starbucks will allow homeless people sitting in our cafes for hours drinking water while Covid cases are spiking.
