Actually I think according to policy it can’t be done at all because you are not selling a beverage, you are selling a singular beverage component. If corporate wanted people to buy beverage components they would have them available for retail sale like vanilla syrup bottles.

Nah, you can ring it up as a custom iced tea.
But *50* fucking pumps of syrup?!?! Do... do we cut them off at some point? 😳😳😳

See I don’t get why she said in a trenta cup. We could’ve fit that in a grande cup. But I did ask, and the SSV said we had to do it because our out-of-touch with operations DM said so. And I do mean out of touch. She can’t even operate a mastrena.

Sure you CAN ring it up as a custom iced tea. As in, there is nothing physically stopping you. But you shouldn’t because it’s not an iced tea unless you put ice or tea or water in it to make it some kind of beverage. You cut them off when they ask for it because it’s straight syrup and should be bought for $16 a bottle unless it is not for retail sale.

As for the bottle thing, only the Vanilla comes with a barcode. So my genius SM says “for inventory purposes that is the only bottle we will sell individually”.

I think a few syrups have barcodes.... maybe caramel. However I find it interesting your SM would rather lose a $16 sale but still give the okay to sell 50 pumps of syrup for $0.55 for the sake of inventory. They could just work it into their weekly order. They probably lose more money if you consider the customers are using the syrup to make their own drinks at home instead of buying drinks at the store.
Very interesting.

Holy heck, no. I'd tell her that she can purchase a bottle if she would like, or ring it up as a custom iced tea.
AndrewtheRey1 points3y ago
I will remember the custom iced tea. But my SM only allows vanilla syrup to be purchased because of inventory or some
gaayrat12 points3y ago
Fuck that customer connection lol
AndrewtheRey1 points3y ago
“But it’s so important especially if we want to be number 1 in the district”. We’re currently #5 and still barely cutting hours
donalson7 points3y ago
this is supposed to be labeled as a custom tea...
AndrewtheRey5 points3y ago
Me being busy running the whole drive thru forgot
Nalin906 points3y ago
Yup like others said, custom tea. Had a Karen get mad at me once because I would ring up her strawberry acai as the base with water. Like ma'am thats literally a strawberry acai
Kaywin2 points3y ago
Wait, like she asked for the base with water and you rang it up as the standard drink and she got mad?
Nalin901 points3y ago
Yup
Kaywin1 points3y ago
I’m continually impressed how often customers are /r/confidently wrong 😂
AndrewtheRey1 points3y ago
We had someone try that! He wanted a “venti water, add mango DF base, add 2 scoops of dragon fruit”. Order taker hit him with “oh so the mango dragon fruit refresher” and he was defeated. He was a high school aged boy. Girl in the passenger seat, assumed to be his sister had partner numbers so I see what she tried

There was an update a few months back that instructed us ring those up as custom iced teas.
