Store transfer (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by ghoulboy1
Has anyone transferred to a store in a different country? I'm curious as what the process is like, since my partner and I are planning on leaving the states in a few years.

Very very uncommon. You can potentially transfer to only a few countries (Canada is one of them I think) but the process is very long and requires a lot of paperwork (visas, etc). Starbucks won’t sponsor your visa so you have to get one on your own. It is not cost beneficial for Starbucks to sponsor visas.
In my 8 years of Starbucks (5 different states) I’ve only heard of one partner transferring to Canada, but they were a dual citizen so it was easier (still very hard though).

You will need to quit and reapply.
