This is exactly why I chose option 3 to get the fuck out of dodge. There is so much more increased risk now that they keep ~~slowly~~ speedily are trying to get back to normal business operations.

I definitely understand. I’m lucky that this was my second job, but I highly doubt I would have stayed. There’s a point you reach after a while with this company already where you want to leave and this pandemic isn’t helping. The Karen’s and Chad’s of the world will continue to come and get us all infected in the end for their sugar-caffeine induced highs without a care for our safety. It’s a company and customer problem in my eyes.
Sorry for the giant rant. Just really hope you find your way out of there and into something more safe and less stressful. Good vibes your way fellow barista.

Considering NWA has the highest growth percentage in the US I feel like I am entitled to hating it a little bit more from that aspect.

Like seriously there’s no seating and where I’m at doesn’t exactly have lots of people walking around without a vehicle. They wanna keep the space looking inviting though, which obviously just encourages people to break social distancing and be annoying so we have to ask them to leave which makes them angry. Like they’re not having a good experience either way. Close the cafe.

my new store is doing block scheduling, and someone in the morning block got sick with secondary covid symptoms, and now that entire block (including the new sm and orginal sm) have to self isolate, and I heard that only 3 people were covering morning...I can't imagine what later tomorrow is going to look like. i'm also in texas... \*crying in texan barista\*

As long as you wear a mask I'm actually fine. I'm just ranting cuz a lot of customers don't wear anything to protect themselves or others, but will throw a fit if we don't wear gloves while handing off their drinks and etc. That or they'll come in groups without regarding social distancing. Go impress that cutie!
