Sooo... I ordered this earlier for my niece because I make it all the time at work and bring it home, she loves it. Today she goes “this tastes a little weird.” So after trying to a few times.... I realize that they definitely used passionfruit tea instead of guava I’m assuming? (i.redd.it)

They definitely didnt use the guava. You can tell from the look of it. The guava and coconut shake together nicely, but something in the passionfruit tea makes it seperate a little, giving it that lovely chunky look.

I kinda figured but didn’t want to confirm this.

Passion tea has citric acid in it. Citric acid is known to form solids when interacting with milk. I don’t know what it does to non dairy though but there looks to be some separation. This is why I cringe when people order those passion teas with heavy cream.

It’s annoying to see baristas make drinks incorrectly, especially when GUAVA is in the title of this beverage, and passion tango tea doesn’t even have passionfruit in it. Also, training is expected on new launches plus recipe cards being available on the iPads... like there really isn’t an excuse at this point

Yeah I also watched my shots die while they made my drink. I just won’t be going back to that store.
