Someone who sexually assaulted me stopped by my store the other day and I am SHOOK! (self.starbucksbaristas)

I have to open today and literally haven’t slept all nice. My alarm is going to go off in 20 minutes and work until 10am. This is my first shift after them stopping in and my brain will not rest. I’m so anxious that they will come in again now that they know I work there.
I’ve been trying to tell myself it’s unlikely because I’ve never seen them in the year and a half I’ve worked there. But I know I won’t be rested until they don’t show up tomorrow.
My manager was really supportive. I’m just overwhelmed.

This happened to my family member who was also a SB barista and manager. The only thing you can do, is remind yourself that you are in control of the situation this time. If the person comes in, get your superior to remove them. Have them also inform the person that they will be reported for stalking if they show up again. Have security or another coworker walk you to your vehicle. If the person comes by after that, follow through on the threat and call the police. File a report. Let your bosses and union know. The best thing you can do is draw clear boundaries and STICK TO THEM!! You’ve got this!

I totally understand. I guy who sexually assaulted me in high school stopped in my Starbucks one day and saw me. Now he comes by multiple times a week. My coworkers all know so when he comes in, they have me go to the back until he leaves.

They mobile ordered so I didn’t know it was them until after their order was ready. Also, pretty sure they don’t drink caffeine so I have to find a way to caffeinated a passion tea 🤣
