Time and a half (self.starbucksbaristas)

Yes, we’re getting time and a half today. And all Juneteenths from here on. While this is exciting in showing progress and helping out a bit during this time, don’t forget the historical significance of this day and the journey it took for Juneteenth to be recognized as a federal holiday. Study and learn about people like Opal Lee. Donate to causes that fight for and support African Americans. Support black-owned businesses.

and don't forget starbucks didn't give time and a half for MLK Jr Day until after the starbucks workers union campaigned for it

I actually didn’t know that. It’s good that they listened and learnt from their mistakes, good or bad motives.

That is exactly my issue with Starbucks!! They say they are “listening” to us, and they do change stuff when we complain. However, everything they do centers around keeping their imagine. They couldn’t take a stand for BLM initially. It wasn’t until everyone was pissed at them that they reverse their stance. They consistently get away with scraping the bare minimum to keep partners happy and their imagine clean.

I thought Starbucks unions don’t exist
