What are your stores doing about customers wearing masks in stores? (self.starbucksbaristas)

My store (MD) requires all customers to wear masks. We have had to let customers know that they would be asked to leave if they don’t wear their mask, as it is a statewide policy still. But i’m curious what other stores are doing, what the different states are doing? Have you had to ask people to leave? Have you had just as many customers being so so rude about the policy as I have?

GA here. Since our state is basically open NO one takes it seriously (I know this is an exaggeration, but every day is stressful going into work now) and I have customers and partners both complain about wearing masks just because it impedes their hearing.
I mean can’t hear if you’re dead but go off I guess.

In OR I believe the governor passed a mandatory mask order. People don't care. Most of my regulars are elderly who refuse to wear a mask.

Wait! I’m in MD too. And initially I would refuse service or not let people in but then the DM said to not do that bc ‘not worth a call to corporate’. So now everyone is welcome. Masked or not.

what?!? That’s crazy! No idea my district managers view on it but my store manager is all about requiring them (thankfully). Although we haven’t actually ‘kicked’ anyone out, most people are chill about it and just go get their masks from their car.

TX, my store does not give a shit whether customers wear masks or not, and yet our neighboring store just down the way has a sign up that works about half the time, but hey, at least people read the sign for them.

In AZ if you don’t wear one you get fined $250 so I have no idea lol

In my city in AZ it is mandatory to wear masks inside our store but my management put a table outside so we can still serve people who refuse to wear masks.
