Starbucks Baristas: The daily grind

Okay I’ve been a barista for 2 years and the aprons have always caused problems for my skin. They basically give me eczema on the back of my neck from rubbing all day. Please tell me this has happened to someone else too and how the hell can I make it stop. I’m sick of this. Thanks ✌🏼 (self.starbucksbaristas)

Doesn’t happen to me (have been at Starbucks for 8 years, with a small break in the middle). Maybe try wearing a shirt with a collar? Or maybe you can attach some sort of fabric on it to make a barrier between the apron and your neck?

I wore collared shirts to prevent that

I have been wearing a polo even after they changed the dress code for this same reason

Collared shirts, and maybe pin your apron to your shirt so that the part that goes around your neck is looser.

Do you use any kind of lotions? Try some cortisone cream on the back of your neck. A collared shirt should help too!
