GET YOUR BRAKES FIXED I’M TIRED OF HEARING THEM SCREECHING OVER THE DRIVE THROUGH SPEAKER RIGHT INTO MY DELICATE EAR.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. 🙂

Don’t you love it when people pull up with a whole broken window and orders a $10+ order at Starbucks.. everyday. Like I wonder how long it would take them to fix the window if they stopped going to Starbucks.
Thrasherboyx53 points3y ago
YEA DUDE! I think about that shit all the time, people’s car will be a wreck but they’ll Spend 30 dollars at Starbucks everyday crazy, priorities all mixed up
acupofhotsauce [OP]31 points3y ago
I have a regular customer whose window won’t even roll down all the way so she has to open the whole door instead.
She always gets four caramel Frappuccinos so it’s a pain to try to squeeze a drink tray into the tiny space in between the door and car. I’m always worried I’m going to drop her drinks.
stagstar16 points3y ago
You’re thinking here is quite judgmental. Someone may be struggling paycheck to paycheck and car repairs are incredibly expensive. Getting a drink and pastry (easily a $10 order) could be something they look forward to after a long day of work.
Don’t make judgements on spending habits. It’s not your place to assume what’s going on
erin_mary20006 points3y ago
That’s a really good point
tseriesisdone4 points3y ago
You right, but if you add it all up (coming everyday) they could have paid for it.
acupofhotsauce [OP]4 points3y ago
You’re absolutely right. Back in the day I used to drive an old 2004 Camry with a motor that sounded like shit, kinda like a lawnmower.
I didn’t care enough to put money into it though because it was ugly and rusted anyway, but I work hard and you know damn well I still bought my overpriced coffee.
burberrybradshaw3 points3y ago
Truth. I had a shitty Camry that was rusted out and wasn’t worth fixing. It’s not someone’s place to tell me I should put coffee money towards a car I knew I wasn’t going to have fixed.
Critical5014 points3y ago
On an old Toyota I had, the door handle snapped in two in my hands. The cost to fix was $500. Probably more for a whole window. Thats just not worth it IMO if they have some pre 2010 car they cant even sell for more than 4K.
pleasesurpriseme7 points3y ago
Agreed. And if your car is an old beater and you don’t think it’s worth fixing fair! Okay! But walk your ass inside to get drinks so someone isn’t straining to hear you through your door and then trying to get money from behind it, then passing drinks over. Isn’t that shit embarrassing???
drinkliquidclocks7 points3y ago
My last car was a shitty 2001, the mirror was broken and replaced with a little motorcycle mirror, my windshield was cracked, tail light cracked, dented door, loud squeeky breaks...
It wouldn't have been worth the price of the car to fix it. So I'd still spend my $ on Starbucks because the car just wasn't worth it lol
official_koda_20 points3y ago
Don’t you love when they have some LOUD ASS truck and you have to ask multiple times what there order is even though they are practically shouting but nobody in the store can understand them and they STILL don’t turn the car off?
jewelkween10 points3y ago
omg the LOUD ASS trucks. and some will turn it off to order and then summon a grenade and the tears of my eardrums to restart when they're done.
bedusseyy1 points3y ago
oh i won’t even let them order, i straight up say “if you could turn your engine off for me so i can hear you that would be much appreciated”, and if they try to continue i will reiterate that i cannot hear them over the engine
nerdheartRN14 points3y ago
When they're too old it not worth replacing certain things. The cost is double due to the scarcity of parts.
But brakes are a different story and should be changed god that'll cause an accident if they're metal on metal
voxinx7 points3y ago
Tell sbux to pay me more and I will lol
keskobalt7 points3y ago
All day today all I heard were peoples breaks screeching it's so annoying especially bc out drive thru is in a tunnle. You hear everybody's brakes screech each time they move. Also someone blew their nose right in front of the speaker with their window down and it sounded like a lawn mower in my ear so that was great
acupofhotsauce [OP]3 points3y ago
I’m really sorry, but the thought of someone’s nose sounding like a lawn mower made me giggle.
That does sounds awful though. I hope we don’t all get tinnitus. It feels like a knife every time I get a bad one.
melly_leung1 points3y ago
Ohhh my goodness, I was just saying the other day that sbux baristas are the first to know when someone needs their brakes checked
