Volunteer yourself at other stores to pick up hours?

How so? Do I let my manager know first?

You should yeah, a simple “hey I’d like some more hours so if you know any other stores that need help with coverage let me know” the only problem is that labor is tight company wide right now , you could always shift your availability to load up 2-3 days and then look for another job for the other 3 days

Depending on your shifts height the easiest way , with their consent, might be to grab around the waist. Squat a bit and kind of bear hug around thewaist then lift. If you don't need to pick them up for long, or move them far this should work.

You might also want to check if your area has a FB barista group. Our area does and there are constantly people trying to find coverage and pick up shifts.

Or call stores and ask if they have any shifts. So far I’ve been to 8 different stores lol picking up shifts then once you work at one leave your phone number saying you are available to pick up shifts.
