That’s why I straight up took the 3rd package. I’m in a similar situation and my manager told me that option 2 means she could literally call me back in after a week or two, especially with another Starbucks close to us closing at that same time.

Get a letter from your doctor and refuse to go back till the date they (the doctor) provide. If they have an issue, tell them to stuff it. Your health is extremely important, trust me I was in your shoes till I quit last week because of under handed shit they pulled. Find out what you can do about getting unemployment for while you are on leave.

I already had started the ball rolling on the unemployment. It was part of the reason I took the second option. I do have a note on file, but because I worked the two weeks between the extended covid and the new LOA, it's no longer valid. I would be going back til July 6th, so I have a little time to put something together.
