and whoever designed the steam wand on the new espresso machines should be fired. why is the handle so stumpy?? why is the steam wand so...girthy? why is the distance between the tip of the wand and the tray so small and inconvenient?? I hate it

I love the old mastrenas too but I’ve never tried the new ones. I love them except for when it says the grounds drawer is full and there’s three pucks in the drawer so I have to stick my hand up in the machine and burn my hand in the middle of peak and get grounds all over my hands and I’m not able to go rinse it all off 🙄

Honestly if someone put the old steam wand on the new mastrena I would be so happy. Having all the beans and triple shots is great and all but I swear that wand was designed to over aerate everything unless you're super careful

You’ll get used to it quickly :) I hated it at first when I moved between stores but I have grown to love the new machines... although the space being tight between the wand and shelf is still obnoxious at times.

You get used to it. I was in your situation and had the same thoughts in the beginning but the new wants are actually super dope. You have to aerate for a shorter time or else your milk will be too foamy. Like seriously 1-2 seconds is all you need. I worked a couple shifts at some other stores and going from the new machines back to the old ones seem so ghetto lol
