Anyone else think that the new Espresso bar guards are complete BS? It’s literally all for public image. Every single other position in my store has people standing right next to eachother especially DTO and DTR. So why even implement these? They are just going to be a pain in our asses in the long run.

Exactly! I can't distance anywhere in my store (way too small) so how is this thing supposed to help? Also, I'd rather protect my bar from customers than "protect" bar from reg when all its really doing is actually doing physical damage to partners when we run into it.

I’m buying window gel clings exactly for this reason today, watch my bosses say ‘it’s not Starbucks endorsed’ or ‘brand purveying’ since that’s all I hear about any ideas we have for implementing these systems.

I think the same thing about grocery stores. They have a guard up in front of the cashier but the bagger is literally right there with nothing and they’re 1 foot away.
They just want to seem like they’re trying.

I literally told my sm that it was just one big Pr stunt so they can seem like they’re taking care of us
