just what the title says, i started experiencing covid symptoms yesterday and let my manager know last night, and he’s been nothing but supportive and already covered my shifts so i can go get tested (tried today but couldn’t find a testing site open that wasn’t appointment only), but i feel hella guilty for the inconvenience i’m causing my team with being out, along with super anxious about being out of work, even if it is just for a few days if i test negative, because i have bills and rent to pay and i’m panicking about not being able to pay them

i know logically sbux is a corporation and i shouldn’t feel guilty about being sick, especially possibly having the literal virus causing this pandemic, but i love my team and i hate leaving them in a lurch like this, and i think i just needed to vent that

Dont feel too guilty. This is happening everywhere!

Your SM should be prepared for this. Did they close down your store today to deep clean? It´s been happening frequently in my area when a partner develops symptoms. Close down, deep clean/biohazard cleanup, co-workers that were exposed to you quarantine for 14 days.

It is pretty rough on your SM to re-write schedules with multiple partners out now. Hope this is the protocol your SM took.
