does anyone know if transfers are still allowed right now? i know there is a hiring freeze. i need to move out of state in august and dont know what to do... (self.starbucksbaristas)

We have a new transfer at our store (for now. everyone seems to agree he's one wrong move from being murdered), so I'm p sure youre good to go.
Transfers just require agreement from your SM & the new stores, so it might just be finding a store who needs someone right now that's more difficult.

So much worse, he's totally incompetent. š and if a feminine person tells him something, even if theyre just relaying what someone else said or /the actual schedule/ he goes and confirms it with a dude. He even does it to the shift ladies, and at least one of them is set to snap and destroy him.

My manager told me to turn in the transfer papers at least 30 days in advance of moving. She also told me to contact a couple stores in the area to let them know Iām looking into transferring to see where I would work out best. The process is surprisingly easy just ask your SM about it.

Iām in the same boat. Does anyone know how long it takes to transfer? Like how far in advance should you ask?

Min 30 days in advance. You will need to find a store that you want to transfer to yourself as well. Just call stores around the area you would be moving to and see if they will accept transfers.
