i think you sound like a great candidate! best thing to keep in mind for me is that it's just coffee. that's the advice someone gave me pretty early on and i will repeat it like a mantra sometimes if im feeling stressed: "it's okay, don't stress too much, it's just coffee." it's never as big of a deal as it may feel like; although you can definitely touch lives in this job, most of the time you're just getting someone their drink, and weirdly the less you worry about it the easier it is to get right, lol! also keep in mind that in your interview, what they're gauging is mostly not your experience or qualifications or anything like that, but your ability to make conversation and connect and show that you're a team player. be yourself; being genuine is definitely a plus! but your attention to detail and communication skills make it sound like you'd be a great addition to any team of partners :*)

Having great communication skills and being attentive to detail is key in a job like Starbucks! Like you said, it can be a very overwhelming job, especially when you’re just starting. I’ve seen countless trainees leave weeks into starting. But you have to remind yourself that it takes time to get used to all the craziness! You’ll mess up a lotttt, trust me, but being new it’s expected haha. It’s a lot of memorization, whether that be making drinks, dating things correctly, prep, just be prepared to have to remember a lot of things. It can take months for you to fully have everything down, so have a lot of patience with yourself!
I work at a US store, so I’m not exactly sure how Canada’s handling COVID-19 or their precautions bc it differs from state to state. My store is is open through dt and people can come in and place orders/pick up mobile orders, they just aren’t allowed to use the bathrooms or the indoor/outdoor seating of course. Face mask are required for partners but not for customers in my state. We don’t directly hand people their food/drinks, we use trays or mugs to avoid as much contact as possible, and many more things but i would ask the store manager at the store you’re planning on applying to how that store in particular is handling it. That’s also a great question to ask during the interview! Things are a little more hectic due to the pandemic. But working for Starbucks has great benefits too, free drinks, food items, partner discounts, free mark- out of coffee beans/ /iced coffee every week, way more that I’m forgetting atm but definitely look into it!
Hopefully this helps just a little bit but from what you said you sound like a great candidate! If you go for it i really hope you get the job ☺️

When I went into my store for the first time to apply, I got an interview with the store manager within ten minutes. I'm not saying that this will happen to you, in fact I'm sure that my case was an uncommon one. That being said, you should be prepared for an interview on the spot, just in case. That being said, I wasn't prepared and I got the job anyway.

good to know, thank you so much! i was considering sending my resume in online, do you know if i should do both or one or the other?

I didn't even have a resume lol. You're probably fine to just give it in person
