I used to be working about 25 hrs a week due to classes a few weeks ago. When they ended I asked my manager to add hours to my weekly schedule so that I’d be working 30-35, which she happily did for 2 weeks.
However, this week I am back down to 23 hours and 21 next week. I asked my shift yesterday and he told me that our manager asked him “what’s the lowest amount of hours you’re comfortable working?”
Should I be concerned? I was going to ask my manager for a promotion to shift but this situation makes the timing seem wrong?

Everyone will be experiencing hour cuts for who knows how long. I personally would wait to promote to SSV because I can’t imagine the stress I would go through everyday learning my new role and having the least support possible.

Hey, I work in OC too. Are you a part of the shift network on FB? If not, I can give you an invite to join. I get hours at other stores there all the time. It's not ideal, especially in a pandemic. But, if you need the hours, they are there. You can even work out of district. This is what I'm having to do atm.
